“3, where mind, body and soul come together. Enchanted by the world around us on earth from sky to sea. Everything is connected in 3’s. The combination of those 3 components create a balance, a complete piece. That sense of unity is what 3 elements is all about. My photography is broken down into 3 core elements: classic, romantic, & energetic. The versatility within my work creates the ideal blend. Just like that perfect cup of coffee (or pint of beer). Everyone has a different story. These moments become everlasting. Long after the people in the photographs past, their stories will live on. So we need to smile at the little things, laugh until we’re in tears and love every second of our lives because there is no better to live.”
Photography offers a system of capturing various moments in time that can be reflected for years. My camera acts as a means of self-expression so the world around me can grasp my reality. The lens is a tool to exhibit how I view the world. I’ve always found it interesting that individuals can be at the same event or scene and still walk away from it with completely different perspectives. Photography reflects my perspective, my representation. I use photography to create distinctive viewpoints that aren’t typically seen by the naked eye. I focus on parts and areas that most individuals walk by without noticing or acknowledging. I have an inclination to explore the concept of time in photography by capturing heightened moments. At times such a concept is shown literally while other times it is more conceptually. Instead of using words, I use photographs to provoke the mood and emotion I experience and want to convey to the world.
